How to make it to the olympics for figure skating?

how would a very talented skater make it to the olympics? what different competitions should they enter? how hard should they work? How many times a week should they practice?

I'm not a figure skater or anything I just wanted to know.

Thanks ( =How to make it to the olympics for figure skating?
They need to practice 5-6 days a week, 3 hours on ice and at least 2 hours of off ice conditioning, most do more than that. They also run a few miles a day.

They enter regionals, and if they get top 4 they go to sectionals, and then if they get top 4 there then they make it to nationals. At nationals, the top 2 women will go to the olympics next year.

They need to work extremely hard. The greatest skaters are self driven and absolutely crazy about skating (in a good way). They eat, breathe, and sleep skating. I've seen them work before and it's a truly amazing thing how hard someone can work. How to make it to the olympics for figure skating?
it'll vary from competitor to competitor on which competitions they'll have to compete at (regionals, nationals, olympic qualifier).

train numerous hours a day on ice and off ice pretty much everyday during on season
