Did I start too old to become an Olympic Figure Skater?

Hi im 12 years old and started skating 2 years ago Ive already landed my axel in les than two weeks and is close to landing double loop flip and sow and I train 2-3 times a week am i too old to become an Olympic Skater?Did I start too old to become an Olympic Figure Skater?
If you love what you are doing, just skate your heart out and see how well you can do. But be realistic. Of all the hopefuls out there, only a handful make the Olympics; in skating I would guess most have had intensive training since early childhood.Did I start too old to become an Olympic Figure Skater?
training 2-3 times a week at the age of 12 will not help you get to the olympics, that's forsure! by 12 you should have landed at least 1 triple and trainiing at least 5 days a week
Johnny Weir started when he was around 12.
No! Whatever you are doing is working for you so keep doing it. I am also 12 well in 3 days I will be 12. You have excelled very quickly. I am working on double loops, double flips, and double lutzes and I have been skating for 6 and 1/2 years!!!!!!!!!! I also want to go to the Olympics!!! See you in 2014!!!!!!
Have you been to any competitions? Has your coach suggested you try out for Jr. Olympics? How is your technique and stamina? What about your timing and execution of jumps, turns?

Landing a jump is not the only thing that will get you to the Olympics. Its takes passion and understanding, learning how to compete, style and grace too.
Well depending on how hard you work and how fast you are able to advance you could become an Olympic skater, but it is somewhat unlikely since you are older, but good luck!
You're not too old yet and it sounds like you're on your way and learning more every day! Do your parents/coaches know that the Olympics are your goal? If not, tell them so that you can start working together toward that goal!

You should start working on programs and competitions now, so you'll be able to qualify for the US team when the time comes. It takes years to start winning competitions with confidence.

One very important thing to remember is to enjoy the trip!

Have fun and I hope you reach your goal!
wow u go girl. u learn quick. i am on the same leavel as u execpt ive been skating for 3 years. hey Dick Button started when he was 13 and he went to the Olympics. if ur serious about it and u train hard then anything is possible =] good luck!

P.S. dont listen yo ';Hairspraylovinsk8r'; shes just jealous =] i landed my double salchow very quickly.
Yes, probibly You've started too late, unless you have fantastic skills and/or you can skate at the Olympics representing a small country :-) But, If you look into Ice dancing, your Olympic dreams might be attainable..........
no
No but that is a one in a million chance. You need to just go competition by competition before rushing straight to the top. Also, your jumps are most likely cheated if you landed them that quickly.
