How can i figure out what i want to do with my life?

I just graduated high school. and i still dont know what college to go to or what to major in. how can i figure out what to do?How can i figure out what i want to do with my life?
Alot of people never figure out what they want to do until they are in college. You should go to a community college and take the classes that your supposed to take in college and along the way your gonna run into something that you really want to major in. My dad ALWAYS pressured me into becoming a doctor or an engineer. That's not my thing. I want to be a cosmetologist because I realized how much i enjoy doing it for others. And I've gotten really good at it. I just hope the school will accept me next year after i graduate. And I'm going to a community college to get college credits.How can i figure out what i want to do with my life?
I'm kind of in the same situation as you. the truth is at this age not many people truly know where they want to go or what they want to do, though it make seem like it.


Just follow your heart and really ask yourself what interests you, your stepping out of grade school so its all you now. no more being forced to recite names and dates for a grade like you did in highschool. Now more than ever your in control of your own path in life, just think about that for now. you can go anywhere and do anything but just ask yourself what appeals to you most right now, it can be anything.

first of all, what do you like to do that would be a lifetime occupation or career?


how did you do in school, what subjects did you take, did anything in any of them seem like something you might like to delve into more fully?


google different jobs to see what they are like, what they require,etc.


but in the end, with today's economy, you are probably going to have to just take what you can get, to save some money toward the goal you will eventually find
