How do you average out your salary to figure out what you would've been if you were getting paid per hour?

Can you??? I want to figure out if I'm getting jipped bc it's seems like I'm working overtime often. Thanks! How do you average out your salary to figure out what you would've been if you were getting paid per hour?
This is the easiest way and the way payroll and HR people such as myself do it: take the yearly salary and divide by 2080 and you get the hourly rate. Take the hourly rate and multiply by 2080 and you get the yearly rate. We get the 2080 from there being 52 work weeks in the year and 40 hours in each of those weeks (52x40).

By the way, if you are salaried you are most likely classified as exempt from overtime pay per the FLSA. However you may or may not be classified correctly. If you have further questions about this feel free to email me and I will be happy to help. How do you average out your salary to figure out what you would've been if you were getting paid per hour?
Well the best way would be to take you net salary (before taxes) and divide it by the number of hours you worked during that pay period. Say you get $4000 a week, but you work 60 hours per week, and there was 4 weeks and 2 days, this would be 4000/(60*4.3) = $15.50 per hour
Divide the money you earned by the hours you worked for the money you earn per hour.

you can figure your salary on a 40 hour work week. the more hours you work per week the less money you make per hour less you are paid over time
Take the amount earned %26amp; divide by hours worked...simple.
Take your salary and divide it by 52. 52 weeks in a year. Once that is done...you will divide that by 40. 40 hours in a week. That will give you your hourly rate. Hope that helps!!!
Divide the gross amount you get paid by the number of hours you worked.
