Why are Christians not trying to figure out what the Gift of God is?

He called it ';Living Water'; (And of course it has nothing at all to do with the Crucifixion).

If Christ came back and was giving out the ';Gift of God,'; would you get into that line to receive that gift?

But these days I don't hear a thing about it. What's the matter?

Are people afraid to say they don't know what it is and may have to dig until they figure it out? What's going on? Why don't I hear about it?Why are Christians not trying to figure out what the Gift of God is?
Their image of God is skewed. Only when they can see past the narrow confines of their man made religion will they be able to realize the gift from God.Why are Christians not trying to figure out what the Gift of God is?

Well, in First Corinthians, if you read the entire book, and in Ephesians, it says that God gives different gifts to each person besides the gift of living water. Each person is different and has different talents and different gifts from God. People who have not read and studied the Bible are probably watching the Dr. Phil show, and Dr. Phil also focuses on the individual and each person has special talents and gifts.
Living Water is Baptism, by the grace of which we are Born Again into a new Life, washed clean of our sins. That grace is obtained for us because the wage of sin, death, was paid at the Crucifixion.

Orthodox Christian Theology is all very interwoven my friend.
Possibly because the GIFT of God today is not the same thing.

Today God gives us the GIFT of righteousness by GRACE thru faith in the finished work of Christ. HE HIMSELF is our great and precious reward.

Living water was given to the Nation of Israel under their plan and program which was called JUDAISM.

Christ is giving a GIFT today, and its found in a PERSON...HIMSELF.

You are focusing on an obscure title given to Him as He ministered on the earth to one group of people. He is the Head of the church of which we are individual members today.

That's because the gift of god is eternal life (have you ever read the bible?) Romans 6:23
the woman at the well, asked to draw him a drink of water, and he told her, had she of known him, she would have asked for living water...

you tell me....is it, salvation or understanding?
Grace is the gift!

Ephesians 2:8 聽For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

GOD bless
I love you God!
Jesus said;

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never

perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

[ John 10:28 ]
I suppose the gift of God is life
The gift from God is your salvation through Jesus Christ .....
