Let me explain: I'm almost 15 and have never been in an area (climate??) where I can get on ice/figure skate. It's something I would like to try and do - What do you think my chances are?
Also, how can I convince my parents to let me do this since you would have to pay for lessons/skates/%26amp;tc
Thanks and have a great day [=How hard is it to learn how to figure skate?
it just depends on the person, my mom was a figure skater, and everyone jokes i got her skating genes, because i was about 6 monthes into skating when i landed my axel
but you are kind of old to start, unfortunatly the older u are the harder it is, but if you commit you shoudl do fine, and figure skating is a very expensive sport, so if u do this u prob wont be able to do any other sports, if u want to be a skater, u have to commit and put yur whole heart into it, theres no room for anything else
figure skater of 6 years %26lt;3How hard is it to learn how to figure skate?
It is definitely hard, but that shouldn't stop you.
If you love it you will stick to it. And once you get the hang of it it gets a bit easier since everything has close to the same basic principal. It is a good sport to keep you active. And there is always something knew to try or learn.
Good Luck!
It is very hard to start at such a late age. Unless you have some realy talent, it will be very hard to be successful. My suggestion is to take a few private lessons if you have basic understanding of skating and see how you do,
Hope this helps!
Well you do have to practice buy skates and stuff like that but its fun.It is lots of hard-work though. Give it a shot. Chances are you will end up liking it alot. So try it!
its not that hard. the first time you will fall a lot and be very unstable. after a few times you will be able go around in circles pretty easily and then maybe start learning some simple tricks
pretty easy! I got started at 5 years old and was up to Level Freestyle 2 when I was 7...
