How can i figure out what kind of allergys my cat has?

i know its allegic to something it has skin dermatitis and is loosing his fur on the side of his face. the vet wont take him until next friday. any ideas on how i can figure this out until then?How can i figure out what kind of allergys my cat has?
Get some Eucalyptus oil. I use it on my cat it will help the Itching. My cat has skin problems and lost some fur.Put it on once ever 3 or 4 days for a month.Hope it helps.How can i figure out what kind of allergys my cat has?
